Ujjal Yaman Chowdhury


Mr. Ujjal Yaman Chowdhury is a Senior Lecturer of Marketing at Department of Business Administration and also a founder member of executive committee of Centre for Brand Research (CBR) at World University of Bangladesh. His general area of expertise lies in service marketing, social marketing, and branding. At WUB he teaches courses on E-Marketing, Sales force Management and Principles of marketing in MBA and Marketing Management, Service Marketing, Advertising, Principles of Marketing, Entrepreneurship Development and Global Marketing in undergraduate level. Prior to joining WUB he worked more than four years in Ready Made Garments Industry as a merchandiser which even strengthened his learning and knowledge in the professional world of marketing. Mr. Chowdhury achieved his MBA and BBA degrees from one of the top ranking universities of the country, the University of Dhaka. Furthermore, he attended many seminars on developing basic presentation skills as a key speaker. Besides he has participated many seminars and workshops on strategic management, research methodology and brand management. His unique classroom style combines meticulous pedagogy and practical knowledge. These help learners to understand fundamental issues of marketing operations in complex, and uncertain environment. Mr. Chowdhury’s goal is to ingrain students with a deep curiosity about the marketing issues surrounding them and make them capable to solve problems and innovate ideas in real organizational context. Currently his specific research is how understanding theories and concepts related to society can improve marketing understanding and strategy. Earlier his areas of interest were entrepreneurship development in emerging economies and internal marketing on which he has also a few articles published in reputed international journals.
